Public Health-Seattle & King County is seeking a Medical Director for Public Health Clinical Services. This challenging and high profile position requires an individual who is innovative and can work constructively and collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams at both program management and service delivery levels.  This position is located in Seattle, Washington.  Applicants are encouraged to visit the King County – Metro website at www.metrokc.gov .

 

Public Health-Seattle & King County is a large Public Health department which provides a broad spectrum of services in the Seattle metropolitan area and the surrounding suburban cities and communities of King County.  Services include primary care clinics, family planning and sexually transmitted disease clinics, prenatal care, immunization services, public health outreach and case management services, correctional health services.  Public Health-Seattle & King County also provides population based services for communicable disease control, environmental health, community assessment and epidemiology, and access to health care services issues.

 

Role

The incumbent will provide leadership and clinical practice oversight for pediatric, adolescent and adult primary care services provided by public health.  He or she will supervise the family planning program medical director, the correctional health medical director and the obstetric care consultant; and, insure that these clinical services are coordinated with pediatric, adolescent and adult primary care services.

 

Candidate Profile

·         Washington State medical license in good standing; Master in Public Health degree highly desirable.

·         Board certified in family practice with Federal Drug Enforcement Administration license.

·         Firm knowledge of Public Health practices and principles.

 

Compensation/Benefits

Compensation for this position ranges from $106,706 - $124,128 depending upon qualifications
