Job Summary:  The Director of Medical and Institutional Health Services leads a staff of over 400, with a budget of $179.3M, in three divisions: Health Disaster Management, Institutional Health Services, and Medical Services Initiative.  Responsibilities include structuring emergency response functions; providing around-the-clock health services for adults and juveniles housed in facilities operated by law enforcement and social services; administering various payment programs for indigent medical services, entirely through contracts with private medical providers.  HIS is composed of Correctional Medical Services, Correctional Mental Services and Juvenile Health Services.

Qualifications:  The Director candidate will be a highly responsible public health administrator with extensive knowledge of and experience with, the governmental procedure and specifics of public health deliverables.   The candidate will have demonstrated the ability to be influential, think strategically, build relationships, make effective decisions, be results-oriented, and committed to building and maintaining strong functioning teams.  Five years of responsible administrative experience in the health care industry is required.
