the solicitation of nominations nationally, review of submissions and selection

for awards at our 50th Anniversary Annual Meeting in 2004. Those interested
in participating on this exciting and "rewarding" committee, should
contact the President, Dr. Mary Ellen Bradshaw @ MEBMD@aol.com.
Item 3: CDC BIOTERRORISM SMALLPOX PREPAREDNESS
The CDC some has a lot of material on their website relating to the eminent
smallpox vaccination of health care workers. In addition to an CME accredited
section, the CDC recently ran an excellent (but not CME accredited) a two-part
satellite broadcast on BT smallpox preparedness. The program's goal is
to provide basic education required to implement a smallpox vaccination preparedness
program.
If you missed the live broadcast, modules of the 2-day program will be available in a variety of formats including videotape, CD-ROM, the CDC website http://www.cdc.gov/smallpox and via print materials for subsequent use. The Public Health Foundation will distribute videos, CDs, and selected print materials (free of charge) shortly after the program broadcast. Contact the Public Health Foundation at http://www.phf.org or call toll free 1-877-252-1200.
